SEEEN: EDUCATE: Making Video Work Harder for Learning
SEEEN PLC is sharpening its proposition around a simple strategy: Educate, Engage and Enrich.
The three pillars bring together SEEEN’s video technology, AI capabilities, Creator Service Partner expertise and the recently acquired Medial business into a clearer commercial offering.
At the heart of the strategy is a straightforward idea. Organisations already own vast amounts of video content, but much of its potential remains untapped. SEEEN aims to help customers use that content more effectively — whether to improve learning, reach new audiences or generate greater engagement and revenue.
Together, the Three E’s provide a framework for how SEEEN can create value throughout the video lifecycle.
The Educate pillar is centred on Medial, bringing video-based education, training and communications into SEEEN’s wider technology offering.
Medial provides organisations with an easy-to-use and affordable platform to create, manage and deliver video-based learning experiences, with its proposition built around what it calls the Three L’s: Library, Live and Learning.
Medial Library provides the content management infrastructure. Administrators can manage permissions, organise and curate their media libraries, while users can access content through a front-end video portal — effectively providing organisations, universities and colleges with their own controlled YouTube-style experience.
Medial Live enables organisations to protect, schedule and archive live streams using their existing encoders. Streams can be delivered through a single playback URL, with organisations able to customise the look and feel as well as the pre- and post-roll experience.
Medial Learning integrates video creation and uploading directly into leading learning management systems, including Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas and Brightspace.
Teachers, lecturers and corporate trainers can create content using Medial’s capture tools or upload existing material, while students and employees can submit video assignments using their screen, webcam or a combination of both.
The addition of AI makes that content more useful.
SEEEN and Medial can automatically generate gradable quizzes, identify key moments within videos and make large libraries of content easier to search and navigate. Long-form material can also be transformed into shorter, bite-sized clips, allowing users to reach the information most relevant to them more quickly.
For SEEEN, Educate is therefore about more than simply hosting video. It is about making video an increasingly intelligent and effective part of the learning experience.
